In a heartbeat. I think it is so wrong of someone who may be religious or has other reasons for not wanting scientists to do the research necessarry for this process to be perfected and does have all of their limbs to criticize or even fight and lobby against it. There are millions of people in this world who have lost limbs and many more millions who have lost fingers or toes and for anyoneother than themselves to deny them any form of treatment is ridiculous.

This is a very difficult question. Now that the human genome is pretty much mapped out it seems that this may occur in the distant future. I hope that this could happen but feel that it is unlikely due to time required to grow new limbs, possible rejection of the new growth and the complexity of the nervous system.

Unless you're indirectly referring to the science behind the research. But, personally, I can deal with a few lab rats walking around with human ears on their backs.

Yes, we just have to be careful! They were able to regenerate chicken wings recently, but some grew back multiple wings and some of the wings became cancerous.
