I regard myself as a very good speller. And yet, I am very appreciative that that spelling tool is there. True, for me, it does catch typographical errors more so than it catches misspellings. But I have never totally taken for granted the marvels of what apparently has become commonplace computer functions, such as spell check. I marvel at the ability of a search engine like Yahoo to take a look around the Web for the subject I'm looking forward and within a second or so stack them up in front of me. The capability of talking with strangers -- as I'm doing now -- and exchanging information with people around the world is still something I haven't yet gotten used to.

most of the time I use check spelling. A always watch the print appear so I see mistakes before I press enter. There's always an edit function so I can always fix them later.

Pleased, but sometimes even when it says there is no mistakes you could have written a different word by mistake so it needs double checking.

When I get the message "no mistakes" I an pleasantly surprised and think of all the goofing off I did in school, all the straight F's and just smile.

I usually end up feeling stupid, but for spelling simple words wrong.

Like beleive, I can never spell it right.

I am not going to use spell check just to see if it's right or not.....
