We have hard water that forms a crust of minerals at the water line in our toilets and clogs the holes under the rim. they get gunky, yucky, brown/black. I have to put bleach in the tank and the bowl when I clean. They go away for awhile and show back up.

Im uncertain. Could be rust.

Take a can of Coke and pour it into the toilet. Leave it for 15 minutes, then scrub and flush. Stains will be gone. Coke is some caustic shyte man. Great for cleaning an engine as well....just pour on and let sit, then rinse!

It might be rust, I get that in my toilet. Try "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner, put it on & scrub, then let it sit until the next person has to "go". I have found that it melts off pretty much any kind of stains.

I reckon if anyone answers this question honestly, they will come up with the correct solution.

It is whatever is left when you don't clean the toilet, at all, or not frequently enough. Use bleach, use the brush use anything and you won't have a problem. Every time you use the toilet, flush it and brush it. It does not take very long.

No Bond, it probably is, especially if you have a newer toilet. Between the lower water levels and the low amount of flush water, this is a common problem. Get the scrub brush out.

My guess would be rust. I use the Toilet Wand to clean my bowl and it works great.

The ugly orange-ish colored rings I get in my toilet are caused by Algae...no kidding. Could also be caused by other elements in hard water...iron, calcium, etc...
