no you are not a bad person at all.. to deal with that i believe i would have acted the same way.. to call over and over like a child and then when you tried calling the mother they blocked your call.. sounds like the mother is as childish as the kid.. i think you could have been a little meaner if anything.. people need to grow up and respect each other a little more these days.. but no one respects anyone anymore.. so kudos to you for what you did and i'm sure your daughter loved it and i'm sure it made her feel more loved by you... good luck in everything...

Your not a bad person. There was probably a different way that you could have handled the situation. But if it happened to me I probably would have done the same thing by accident and so would have a lot of other people. If she keeps calling either try to talk to the mother again, or call the cops and fail a harassment charge against the mother and the child. That might get them to stop calling.

You should phone the by-law officers or police that those people has been harassing your daughter and tell them about the profanity sprayed on their house, and call your telephone company that these people are harassing you and your family through phone and ask to have your number changed and unlisted, and have their phone number blocked too. Hopefully, this will end the problem. The police can make anyone remove obscene stuff on anything that is viewed publicly. You could get the community involved too about the obscene word too. Good luck.

It was wrong I'm afraid. It would have been better to keep calm so then neither mother nor daughter knows they are getting to you. I would suggest if the girl phones and starts being nasty, that your daughter doesn't hang up but simply doesn't listen. In that way, the caller will be paying for a phone call with nobody listening. If they are spending money with nobody listening and also not being able to be nasty to them because they aren't listening in the end they will know they aren't getting anywhere and give up.

I don't think you're a bad person, I would have done the exact same thing, plus blocked their number. I probably would have told off the girls mother also. So don't stress about it, kids will fight one day, and be best friends the next day. If it continues, they you may have to make a complaint with the phone company or with the police for it to quit. Best of luck to you.....

not at all. after that many calls, i'm surprised you held out until the 18th!!!
but if I were you I really would try to do a little more about this. I think I would go to the police. Kids can be cruel, and if this little girl has done all this stuff already, I'd be worried about what could happen to your little girl at school!

No but if I had an 18th call I would be calling the police not answering the phone at all.. That is what they make answering machines for! Tape anything she says.. you file an harassment suit that 12 year old needs to learn manners and its not going to be the Mom that teaches her.

NO you are not a bad person. You were pushed into a corner and for this mother you had to push yourself to her level so she would understand. You have to do that to some people because they can't understand what it is to be civil. You did nothing wrong. Don't second guess yourself. I would have done the exact same thing, if not worse.

You are not a bad person. You just gave back what your neighbors gave you. Plain as day, your neighbors got what they deserved. The worse you can do is sue them for invading your daughter's privacy.
