freaky period?

My period has been really irregular for the past 6 months. I bleed for 2 weeks and i have a few days with no blood for a few days then back to bleeding. I'm getting very scared cause my grandma just found out she has cervical cancer... I want to see a doctor but 1st. I cant offerd it 2nd cause I'm scared of the results......anyone else have this problem!!!!!

Yes i do. But i have the birth control called iud. And i think that causes irregular periods.
