I read A Dog's Life by Ann M. Martin and another book about a dog named Jack (can't recall the title) and I really enjoyied them both. But i can't seem to find any other good books. Have an suggestions?

Okay, you're all going to think this is a joke but if you are looking for a cute and hilarious childrens story book, you should read "Walter The Farting Dog." There is a good moral lesson in the story and kids just absolutely love it...as well as their parents.

Jim Kjelgaard ( Don't know if that last name is spelled correctly) he has a whole bunch of books with dogs such as "Irish Red" and some others I don't remember. When I was little I went through a phase where I read all his books.

Don't know your age, but John Erickson's 'Hank the Cowdog' series is fabulous- a quick easy read for adults needing a break and great for kids- and you'll laugh yourself sick at times. Here's the wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hank_the_Cowdog

If you're into tears, Mark Twain's 'A Dog's Tale' (think that's the correct wording) is short and not so sweet.
