Epcot is always cool. They have diffrent nations going on and great fireworks. Let me in on a little secret. If you go to the magic kingdom on the 30th the will have the new year fireworks going off. They arent that great. Then after the fireworks they will open little clubs inside the park. Like I know they have a place where they teach you line dancing. That was fun trying to learn. Now the CM(cast member) that said she work at MGM is right they do stay open until 3am but that is for people who are staying on disney property. So make sure you are staying on Disney Property. You should bring in the New Year at MGM. They have great music awsome fireworks over that hat which only happeds once a year for new years. They give you free hats an horns. Now what better way to bring in the new year with a little drop from the Tower of Terror!! MGM the way to go
Here are some video clips

In the Disney area it totally depends on if you have kids or not. The parks are always filled to capacity so get there early and avoid EPCOT if you have youngins as there is more drinking there, it can be fun for the older crowd. Downown Disney's West Side is a great option and you can see at least eight firework shows from wherever you are. Plan ahed for dinner reservations, everything is crowded. One cool thing is the hoopdie do review, a dinner show. Call the disney phone line for special new years information.

I think you have to be nuts go go near the place right now. We were there last week. It was busy, but not too bad. On Saturday the parks were getting really busy already. There was a line to get into Cosmic Ray's and a queue inside before they let you in the line to get the food. Space Mountain's wait was 110 minutes. I just don't get wanting to go there when it is that busy. We were told by a cast member that the Magic Kingdom holds 70,000. Then they shut the gates and don't let anyone in until 1000 leave. OK, so there are a little over 30 attractions, and 70,000 people. Do the math. It sounds pretty bad to me. I would probably do MGM. Bear in mind that you will only do a few attraction. Have fun.

I work at the Disney MGM Studios. I know we're open until 3am on New Year's Eve (well, New Year's morning, actually), and reopen at five hours later at 8am on New Year's Day. EPCOT and Magic Kingdom are both open late as well. Any of the parks you choose is sure to be amazing. I am willing to bet the best New Year's fireworks will be at the Magic Kingdom, though. Good luck to you and hope your New Year's is magical!

Disney-MGM Studios celebrates New Year's Eve not only with multiple presentations of "Fantasmic!" a spectacular of Disney movies and music, but also with a special "Lights! Camera! Happy New Year!" fireworks spectacular, as well as a DJ dance party around the Sorcerer Hat Stage. Park guests have the opportunity to experience Disney-MGM Studios right up until the New Year officially gets underway at midnight.
Magic Kingdom features special presentations of the "SpectroMagic" parade and multiple nighttime fireworks displays. "Holiday Wishes" lights up the sky early in the evening, and guests who make it to midnight can see "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks, which begins just before the New Year kicks off.
Kick your New Year's celebration into high gear! It's time to party hearty and there's no place like Pleasure Island on New Year's Eve, where the party is here, there and everywhere — in all seven sensational clubs and even on the streets! With a rockin' band like The Big Ide playing your favorite tunes from the '80s, '90s and now — and the grand champagne toast at midnight — counting down the New Year in the casual elegance of Atlantic Dance Hall is sure to be the highlight of this or any year.
All guests must be at least 21 years old with proper ID.
Tickets to this event are limited, and go on sale at noon on December 31 at the Atlantic Dance Hall box office.
I would definitely recommend seeing Cirque du Soleil, especially if you haven't already. It's the most incredible show I've ever seen, and it's extra special for New Year's. It's so worth the money! My boyfriend and I both love it and see it every time we go to Walt Disney World. Other than that, try one of the theme parks! The fireworks shows are the most spectacular in the world!
Hope I could help! Have a great New Year's!

Pleasure Island or EPCOT would be my choices.
Just note. New Year's Eve is notorious for being one of, if not the, most crowded day at Disney ALL YEAR. If you want to be in a park you will need to go earlier in the day and stay in. Admittance to the parks has been shut down this day because they were at capacity.

It definitely gets crowded at Disney for New Year's Eve. I went to Magic Kingdom for New Year's Eve two years ago, and it was ridiculously packed. As it neared midnight, it was hard to even maneuver through the streets. But, even though it was crowded, it was still fun and the fireworks at Magic Kingdom are amazing.

EPCOT Center. Over the World Showcase Lagoon or whatever they call it. I was there last New Years and it was a BLAST. Crowded as hell but the most amazing display of fireworks and lasers I have ever seen. Plus they always have a semi-popular DJ there playing music with a huge shot of you being on local TV live. Very cool and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
