Here are some ideas:

Use newspaper wrapped around a box with different colored, bright ribbons.

If you can get a hold of a wooden crate stamped with a meat plant or restaurant logo, that would be cute to pack the knives with some rafia tied around it.

Decorate a canvas tote bag and stuff it with a sweater - two gifts in one!

If the knives are not already packaged, you could order a silver knife box online and have it engraved at a local trophy/awards shop.

Put the sweater on a hug teddy bear and place him under the tree. Pin the card to the bear/sweater/bow and place the gift receipt inside so they will know that the sweater is the gift and the bear is a bonus.

You could wrap the sweaters in tissue paper and then put them in some big gift bags. It's fast, easy, and it won't be too obvious what the gifts are.

For the knives you could stick them in a huge box (like a moving box). Stuff a bunch of newspaper in the box so that the knives don't move around much. Then wrap it all up. Whoever gets this gift is going to think it's really big. This is a great technique if you want to play a little joke.

Well I did this once... I put it in a envelope Wrap the envelope in a box (a small-ish one. But so the envelope fits.) Inside the box make it pretty and decorative add tissue paper etc. Wrap up the box. a few times. adding tissue paper before the next lot of paper so that it doesn't feel too much like a box. I hope I helped give you an idea. Merry Christmas Hope your boyfriend likes it. xx

My dad is the most creative wrapper I know. He usually chooses to use a simple paper and get crazy with the bow. One year he glued those flat marbles to the ribbon on top. The paper was just a plain brown. Next to all the other crazy-papered gifts under the tree, his simple ones stood out like crazy and got tons of compliments. That's pretty much how I wrap now...a plain paper (brown or white-for white you can always wrap with the paper inside out too, or some other color with no design) and then I try to be creative with my bows or add a little something extra to the box.

I've decorated brown Kraft paper with rubber stamps or splashes of paint, made envelopes out of Christmas gift wrap when giving gift cards or lottery tickets, and stuck stuff in gift baskets filled with recycled wrapping paper I ran through the paper shredder.

I like to put everrything in boxes, so the sides are all smooth, then wrap with shiny or glittery paper (solid colors are best). Then add bows, ribbon, and ornaments to decorate, the extra touches look really neat, and your packages look pretty and classy.

Use about 20 layers of paper to really agitate them.

use comic strips from the Sunday papers. be certain to place the clothing in plastic bags to prevent them from absorbing the ink from the newspapers " just in case."
