Hi Jeff, am very sorry for what has happened to you but I believe you can use it to make a difference and maybe make the dreams go away.
Many people like you have been through horrific nightmares and are in the same boat. Find a group near you that deals with PTSD and become a moderator. If there isn't one near by, start one yourself.
When you start talking about it to others who share the same feelings, it not only helps them, because they know they are not alone, it also starts to diminish your fears for you know YOU are not alone.
Things that stay hidden in the dark have the power to take over our lives.
Expose them to the light of day and they evaporate.
I know about seeing the dead and dying, it has always been great and healing to share yourself with others who have and are going through the same issues as you.
God Bless and may you be free.
