Meet his/her family and see how he treats his/hers brothers and sisters. That is how he will treat you when the honeymoon is over. Of course the more you have in common like same beliefs on how to raise children, handle money, spend leisure time is good to know as well. Respect for each others traditions and making a double effort for each other. I have lived in my husbands country for over 17 years and now we are back here in the USA. I kept our U.S. traditions and now must remember to keep his traditions as well and switch roles of speaking the foreign language at home. Have a happy life in whatever you choose to do.

If you truly in love then countries of origin do not matter. If you never see each other because of this then I say get out while you can, find a man in your country, marry him . Long distance romance is so over-rated.

This is easy. If that person loves you nomatter what. If that person would do anything for you and stand by you through anything. If you are the only thing that person thinks about nomatter where there at and no matter what there doing. When they go shopping or just buying groceries they think of you. They do what ever they can just to see you smile everyday. Your best friends and your number one to that person. that is true love.
