they should stomp down on people's throats after they've been tackled. that's how the game was meant to be played.

That's how football is meant to be. 11 vs 11. At the end of the day, it's just a match. No point killing one another for a game.

There was an anecdote I remember that happened during WW2. The German were British were fighting, but one day they decided to stop and play a game of footy. The next day they killed each other, but for that moment when they were playing, they were all friends.

Football binds people, everyone.

I love it. It shows great respect and sportmanship. I know when my brother was playing american football, he said that the opposing team was so much fun to play with. They were just joking around with each other during the game and everything. I think that kind of stuff is great. It just goes to show that it's not all about the fame, fortune, success. It's just about being yourself, working your hardest, and having fun doing the things you love to do.

i agree with the people above. Showing showmanship is the way to go I get upset when they act disrespectul of others. I don't like when they do that and they are setting a good example to kids who play sports when they show compassion and good sportsmanship skills. It is how you act during and between the plays that matter, it is after all a game. :)

think of it this way how can you put in a hard possibly a match winning tackle that could possible hurt the opponent, and then get up and laff and joke with them, or worse. laff and joke with them then tackle then hard.i personal don't think it can be done. and i think the any team that wants to buy because u can tackle wen u need to and do whats needed to win, not because ur a "nice guy" during the game. sportsmanship starts wen the game finishes.

Break the other guy's leg by all means...but do it with a smile on your face.

I think you are missing sportsmanship and professional courtesy. as long as they bust their butts when the ball is in play I don't think they need to be mean and hateful just to win games.
