I recently got two movies, both on seperate DVDS and both NOT the original copies. both were burned from the original copy on to a DVD disc. each time I try to play the DVDs it tells me that there is no disc in drive E. im sure there is nothing wrong with the disc cuz it worked when I played it on tv. When I tried playing another movie ( original copy ) on the computer it worked properly. I have the cyberlink power DVD software on my computer. CAN ANYONE HELP?

There might be a problem with the disk, because a lot of drives today can recognize freudlint disks and just wont play them. I did this myself and the disk did not work properly with me ether.

Yes! But before you by a new one unless you know that there dead. I would check to see why there not working. If it's a desktop Open the case after unplugging the power and see if the cables are hooked to the MB and to the drives all so in contorl panel/systems check the drives is the a yellow mark next to them?do they show in the systems? No?then I would go to add/remove hardware and follow the guide for adding hardware.

What version of DVD were they burned on? There is a DVD + and a DVD - You have to make sure your DVD drive will read the one they were burned on.

this is a problem cause by age, older DVD Roms do not read DVD-R because they did not exist. Is it older than 2 years?

If your drive usually plays them check if they're
"closed". Alot of drives can read DVD-Rs but
not that many can read unfinished ones.
