religion is part of who we are....it is the only thing that can never be "eliminated" as you say. Sorry to know you don't think God is real...

most religions say spread the word but do not mean to cram it down some body's throat. They give their presentation and let you make up your own mind.
Now look up in the sky and see all the stars. These stars run forever and whoever made them has to be a god. As far as belief look at air you believe it's there, if it moves you feel it and still you can't see it. Is it really there or is it your imagination? Now think about what you see, it is only a reflection from light striking an object and reflecting back to your eyes and you take it for granted that the object is there??? You cannot be sure until you can touch it. This is like God, you cannot see, touch or smell you have to believe. Jesus Christ was an actual person as indicated by several different writings from different persons and different religions. We all have to believe in something and God is the best
thing we have.

Why do you believe in evolution? We haven't "seen it to believe it". It's never been proven, anymore than God, but you would have to believe in evolution if you don't believe in God. Have you ever seen a monkey become a person?
Also, we are in a country where you have as many freedoms as you can hope for without pure anarchy. That includes freedom of religion. Religion is the oldest "thing" out there. There has always been a belief in a higher being, since the beginning of time. If we take away the freedom of religion, should we take away your right to ask this question?
Read 1984 by George Orwell and see what life will be like when someone else controls everything you do.

Religion has many forms. Some have a God. Some do not. But all have underlying philosophies that are similar or essentially the same. The only way to destroy religion is to destroy mankind. All people have beliefs. None can be proven or disproven. You have your beliefs and I have mine. You have your religion and I have mine. You have your church and I have mine. You have chosen to stand up here in your congregation of bloggers and "put your beliefs on others." and insult those that disagree with you. Are you any different than they are?
Religion isn't just some big con put on to steal people's money and gain power, though some religious leaders have been guilty of such. Religion consists of the philosophies handed down from generation to generation intended to help people deal with everyday trials and prepare for ultimate death.
Some of it will prove to be "bullshit" someday, but not all of it. Nevertheless, you can find great wisdom from these religions and philosophies that benefit you and your family everyday if you'll just take the time to study them. Unless its against your religion...

Even though I am an Atheist and usually would applaud an something like this I disagree with you, and only because we all have a choice to make when it comes to believing in a Supreme Being or saying F*ck it I don't believe any of it. I would assume that you think that religious people are misguided, well I got news for you they think that very same thing about us but we shouldn't let something like that separate us because I know quite a few people that believe and are really cool people and I respect their choice as much as they respect mine. Of course we usually don't get into religious conversations unless we feel the urge to argue but that is getting off the point. The point is that today we have too many things that drive us apart from one another even when we like that other person.
Religion of course being one of them, another big one is Political party which one and how extreme are you, Abortion again being one (of course the parties go along with this one sometimes). When it all comes down to it why can't we all just try to get along instead of "GET THE F**K OUT OF MY FACE", and whatever else you can think of. Anymore it seems people are looking for reasons to not like someone as opposed to looking for the good qualities in someone they could consider a friend. I probably sound like some hippie crackpot with this ranting but I really don't think people need to judge one another based on one or two things that they believe that might be differing from what you believe.

I don't see any man-made books that are written over a 1500-year period by 40 plus writers that fortold the earth being round, the birth of christ, and a number of other things without any flaws in it... DO YOU?? I also find no others that have died, been buried, arisen from the grave, and been seen by hundreds of people on earth save Jesus Christ. That is the Power of Our GOD! Have a Great Day and Glorify HIM for it!

Only God knows if God exists or not, if God is real. Personally, I believe he is. Even if let's say hypothetically he wasn't...it gives people hope and happiness to believe in a miracle-working God. So it isn't a bad thing. Just let it go.

How do you know that God isn't real? Do you have proof? Any evidence at all? Of course you don't. Virtually all cultures have believed in higher powers, but somehow, you know better than the rest of humanity for all time. Incredible. Why Haven't I heard of you before? Oh yeah, that's right, you don't know what you are talking about.

Are you having problems with people wanting you to believe in God?
You must be very special. I've never heard of that before.
Do religious people follow you around begging you to be a believer?
Maybe you are a prophet or Saint, and don't know it.
MAYBE YOU ARE THE MESSENGER OF GOD, AND DON'T KNOW IT.

what's terrorism? it rather is a style of conflict that makes use of outrage to manage human beings. as a result, you may not beat a theory no count your political get mutually association. A struggle on Terrorism is as nonsensical as a struggle on Naval conflict. that is rather stupid. Terrorists basically isn't eradicated as lengthy as there are people with opposing perspectives in this planet.
