Lipstick always seems to 'bleed' like I've been swigging down cherry Kool-Aid.

Lip-liner pencil, or use lipstick that is more dry, not so "fat". All-day wear lipstick seems to stay better.

Well, I used to work in a salon. I believe that the trick is to have a good lip liner, a good lipstick and a good lipstick brush.

Step 1. You want to start the lip liner from the middle of your upper and bottom lip. Working it towards the side.

Step 2. Then take your lipstick brush and get a good amount of lipstick on it. Then start again in the middle of your lips working your way out. DO NOT BLOT EVER!

Step 3. Then take your lip liner and go over the lips just as you did before you put the lipstick on.

Note: If you want your lipstick to last all day then after Step 1 and before step 2 finish filling in the whole of the lip with lip liner.

When done correctly your lipstick will last all day and it will not feather or bleed....

Oh and as far as what a good product is. What works for you may not work for someone else. I recommend trying whatever you can get your hands on untill you find what works for you. For some people the really expensive stuff is all they can use and for others the cheap stuff is the best. Use what you find to work best with your lips. Don't base it on price but how it feels...

Use a concealer just outside the lip line before applying lipstick. Put on a thin layer of it.That keeps lipstick from bleeding.
