I need to know know the origin and history of the word cloth as it relates to classical mythology. I know it has something to do with one of the Fates, Clotho, but I can't find any information on it.

Cloth comes from a Germanic root. In this case it is directly descended from the Old English clath. Its plural form, clathas, gave us cloths and clothes. Clothed was sometimes shortened to clad in Middle English. - copied from site called "Take our word for it."
