Hotel accomodation in KL (Kuala Lumpur) is not particularly expensive anyway, but I would not reccommend staying in very cheap hotels there. For very little money you can stay in a very decent hotel and really enjoy what this fabulous city has to offer.

You must consider not only how much the hotel costs, but also it's location. KL is a very big place and although it is easy and cheap enough to get around, sometimes, when it's busy, the roads are a nightmare for travelling and it can take quite a while to travel from A to B.

If you're looking to stay in the centre (near Chinatown) then probably one of the cheapest would be The Swiss Inn, but whilst it may be at the lower end of the scale price-wise, it's not particularly a nice place to stay.

Please consider booking yourself a decent hotel in KL. My philosophy has always been that if you live in a lovely comfortable home, why when you are travelling away from that home should you be expected to live in a less comfortable surroundings than you are used to. I'd rather stay home than stay in a hotel that does not meet my standards. So really, considering the overall difference in price, please pay a little extra to be pampered- you deserve it!

The Mandarin Oriental at KLCC (right in the centre near Petronas Towers) is wonderful, or The Shangri-La is also a good bet- it's in the Golden Triangle where many of the hotels are located as is The Istana, The Marriot and The Renaissance.

KL is a fabulous place to be. It is not expensive to eat and drink, theres lots to see and do and of course the shopping is just amazing!

Whatever you decide to do, have a lovely time- my advice would be to compare prices online with the various accomodation only search engines. Expedia is good but there are also many others- shop around for the best deals, stick to 4 or even better 5 star hotels- you are worth it!
However- that said, bear in mind that whilst cheapest is not always best- most expensive isn't either- check the reviews before you book on somewhere like "trip advisor" to avoid a costly mistake.
Good luck.

the most inexpensive places in Kuala Lumpur are in Chinatown. it truly is likewise the position the numerous critical bus stations are. (i imagine the names are Kota Raya and/or Puta Raya). once you're arriving to KL through prepare (in all likelihood once you're flying), you'll better than in all likelihood finally end up at KL Sentral, the numerous critical station. From there, you'll get on the KL Monorail and get off on the first end (heading in the direction of the dual towers). The end's call is Pasar Seni. it truly is Chinatown. From there, you're in straight forward words a jiffy stroll to fairly some backpacker form places. the most inexpensive you'll discover is 20 ringitt (no longer so effective!). maximum lie in the 25 to 50 ringitt variety (35 ringitt is about 10 US funds). you may want to not have too a lot worry looking an area...ask human beings.....i'll't save in thoughts the call of a guesthouse......wish this permits somewhat.
