there is always one who has to be rude...have you noticed that?
I know my questions are nonspecific most of the time! The point for me is to see what I get out of people...

Yes I have noticed that! It seems like it happens more often when the person with the question has asked people not to be rude! Often the rude people seem to be those that have wrong information in regards to the answer!
I was taught there is never a stupid question. I will confess that on occasion I do sometimes feel compelled myself to give a sarcastic answer! This is usually though when someone isn't being genuine like when they are ranting, insulting, being stereotypical (I can't stand that), blatant self-promotion, or someone fishing for compliments or so looking to brag.. For example when a person that posts the same question on a regular basis about 'why is everyone hating on cheerleaders' and it's basically just a rant about how wonderful she is and boost her own self esteem and then sends threatening emails. That is when I feel compelled to be rude myself! I won't mention names because that is just rude and I am not one to get into those stupid battles some people get into on here.
I HATE the questions that are just insults to a specific member. Or when someone posts with nothing more than a political agenda for their cause or beliefs. They aren't really asking a question at all.
Unfortunately on the internet just as the world outside your front door there are people who are ignorant, rude, or just basically not very nice people. Those are the people who ruin things for everyone. Sometimes I think they chose this as a place where they anonymously make comments they would never say in person or face to face. I'm sure there are those who are like that in the 'real' world; those people probably don't have many friends or people that listen to them in their 'real' lives. So they use this as a place to try and make other people as miserable as they are. Some people just can't learn that they will never be happy in their own lives if they try to bring misery or hurt into the lives of others. They bring negativity into everything they do, which only breeds more problems for them. They think the world is a horrible place and then subconsciously do things that only reinforce their delusions.
I guess we are doomed to take the bad with the good. But I think there are a lot more people who are genuinely good people.

Yeah, I've noticed that. Just like, you have two thumbs down ratings for this question. Why would anybody rate this question as bad? That exactly why I stopped asking for awhile, and I'm not all too sure I will ever ask again. And I'm selective about whose questions I answer, for the same reason.

Sifting through answers is like sorting out rotten apples from the good ones - there's always a few, you just have to do the best you can with the barrel you have...
Although I'd just get a different barrel - I'm stubborn that way =)

I agree, but i also have to hold up my hands and say i have been mean,rude,crude and downright nasty before but only when i am drunk. I always apologise the next day though. I would never be rude to you though because you seem like such a lovely girl and i like answering your questions jennifer.

You know, Jen, I think that's what's fun about this. I like seeing what people are thinking. I don't post questions cuz I want an answer... I post questions because I want unique answers... right or wrong. But yeah, someone always has to be rude... but I like hearing what they think too.

Ya, it just goes to prove that there are some real yucky people everywhere.
I checked out YouTube earlier, and any time there was a video by an attractive woman, some guy had to post something really gross and tacky. Makes me ashamed to be the same gender as these jerks.

You know when that happens I just let Mr. Spock handle the issue and move to the next question, I guess you do the same your own way.
