I never figured out the meaning of this Star Wars character's name.

"Bob Falfa" was a character in George Lucas' American Grafitti movie, played by Harrison Ford. "Boba Fett" is derived from that name and the characters are similar.

Boba Fetts real name is actually Sttef abob which in the language of the Jedi means "Foolish One with a large Appetite"
