It depends - I have verizon Wireless - I like it, but it's also $.99 / day (plus minutes for anyone not in the verizon network). The thing is, you get unlimited calling with all verizon wireless customers - this is why I like it - All of my friends and family (most of my family is 800 miles away) have verizon wireless, so it's really worth it for me. Honestly, if you're not going to be talking on it much, or your friends / family don't have verizon, it's not really worth the $.99 for unlimited calling, because it doesn't save you the money on minutes. I would go with Cingular if that's the case. Hope this helps!

While both Verizon and Cingular are ok companies, their service has a fair amount of hidden charges. I use, and have been using for many years, T-mobile pre-paid. They have straight forward pre-paid, and the cheapest rate plan. If you have ANY problem, their customer care is more then willing to help you. Unlike the other large companies, T-mobile customer care is open 24/7. They also have good service. I would highly advice going through T-mobile, as I have not had one problem or complaint in 4 years. I have used Cingular's pre-paid, and they more then made up for the problems T-mobile was giving me. It was hell...so I switched to Cingular post-paid and that was worse. I would stick with T-mobile.

I have a Motorola Go phone from Cingular. $25 for three months. It works for me.
