Hi! The number part of the size (in your case 30) is the inches around your bust/chest. Some stores will measure just below your breasts, others right above. The letter portion of the size (you are an A) is the cup size. There is no exact size that is an A, B, C, D, or higher (sometimes even a size I); it is more of a range so be sure to try it on for a perfect fit. To measure your bra size you would measure your bust (to get the 30) and then again, but this time right on the center of your breast (the nipple area). The difference between the two numbers is how you get the letter (the A). A 1 inch difference is an A. 2 inches a B. 3 inches a C. 4 inches a D. So on and so forth. If it is less then one inch, it will either be a double a (AA) or sometimes even an A. There is also something called your "sister size". The two sister sizes for a 30A would be 32AA or a 28B (you would more than likely have to special order this size). Different styles of bras will always fit a little differently even if they are all the same size. To get the right fit, about 80% of women are wearing the wrong size, be sure to be professionally fitted, and try the bras on! Some department stores are good for fittings, or you can even walk into any Victoria's Secret. Hope this helped!

The number is your band size, which is the measurement around your back, not including your breasts. They normally figure this out by measuring under the bust and then adding a certain number or measuring just above the breasts, under the armpits.

The letter is the cup size, which is the difference between the band size and the measurement around the fullest part of the bust. It refers to the size of the actual breasts only.

AA - 0 inch difference
A - 1 inch difference
B - 2 inch difference
C - 3 inch difference
D - 4 inch difference
DD - 5 inch difference

So if you wear a 30A, that means your band/back size is 30 inches and your cup size is another 1 inch, making the measurement around the fullest part of your bust 31 inches.

If you wear a 28C, that means your back/band size is 28 inches and your cup size is another 3 inches, still making your bust measurement 31 inches.

HTH : )

Get a push up bra. When you but a push up bra, it's a good idea to splurge though. The cheaper ones (like if you were to get one at walmart) look a lot less real than the more expensive ones, like at VS or nordstroms. The placement of the padding is really important. I like the incredible bras from victorias secret a lot, but everyone is going to like something different. Ask the sales person what they reccomend, the ladys there seriously have tried all of the bras and know exactly what to suggest. If you're embarassed saying you want your boobs to look bigger, tell her that you bought a dress to wear out and you're looking for something that will give you a boost in size and cleavage or something like that to fill out the dress better.

Here's how you measure: take a measuring tape and measure the girth of your rib cage, just below the breasts. What ever this measurement is equal to the numerical part of the sizing (In your case: the 30) Then measure again around the width of your ribcage and straight across your nipples. This number is where the cup size comes in. If it's one inch larger it's an A cup (This is your case as the second measurement must be 31") If it's two inches larger it's a B cup, three inches is a C cup, four inches a D cup and so on. Hope that's not too confusing!

Okay, well one thing nobody else has mentioned it that the number (the band size) is actually your measurement under your bust PLUS SIX INCHES. So, you measure, which in your case would be what, 24? Then you add six to get the 30. Then you measure your bust and substract the band size, 30, to get a number. Whatever number that is, it determines your cup size. a is 1, b is 2, c is 3, and d is 4

Lol the number means the circumference around your stomach, but measure at the bottom part of your breast. The "a" is how big your breasts actually are. I'm a 36 C. Which means my breasts are C sized and there are 36 inchs around my stomach where the bra strap goes.

The number is the inches around your chest just below your boobs. The letter tells how many more inches it is around your chest at the fullest part of your boobs. A is one inch, B is two inches, C is three inches, D is four inches, etc.

The number is the circumference of your chest - how big around you are. The letter is the cup size - the actual size of the breasts.
