Frequent masturbation and ejaculation (usually more than 4 times a week for most) stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions excessively, resulting in the over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when one excessively pratices masturbation.

Note: Masturbation is a healthy sexual behavior. Like other behaviors, when over practiced or addicted it can lead to both psychological and physiological imbalances.

The side effects of such changes to the body include:
Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time
Lower back pain
Stress / Anxiety
Thinning hair / Hair Loss
Soft / Weak Erection
Premature Ejaculation
Eye floaters or fuzzy vision
Groin / Testicular Pain
Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone

If above symptoms are experienced, you need to restore the balance of brain's acetylcholine / parasympathetic ratio, reduces the level of sex hormones in the body, and sedates sympathetic nervous function, or the symptoms would become worse.

There is nothing wrong with masturbating, it all depends on how your body reacts to the stress of ejaculation, everyone is different.

Playing w/ yourself is a good thing! Why? No risk of pregnancy or disease. Also it is a perfectly natural way to sexually satisfy yourself. I'm not ashamed to admit that I do it, because it is very relaxing for me. It may even surprise you that I have a girlfriend, but she can't satisfy my needs 24/7. Don't worry, you won't go blind and you won't grow hair on your palms, those are just myths.

That depends on the angle of view. If by playing with yourself you mean masturbation:
A religious person would say yes, it is bad, you'd certainly burn in hell for it.
A doctor would say no, it is just a natural, normal thing for a teenager. it's just a way of knowing your body better, of knowing what you like more. Of getting ready for something greater that masturbation.

No its not bad to "play with yourself", the best part of it is that you know what you like and how to get off...also you learn more about yourself and can teach your lover what you like.

Only if you get busted doing it; the fines can hurt the wallet. Otherwise feel free to feel yourself all you want.

Hell no! It's safe and healthy. What better way to know what you like than to discover it yourself. Try different hand positions, lotions, etc.
