i am stationed in germany and the amount of calcium in the water causes me to break out. i am also 4 weeks pregnant. is it safe to use pro-active?

dont use anything until you consult a doctor.. and actually you arent supposed to use ANY ance washes while pregnant unless the doctor says its okay..
chemicals are chemicals, and you never know until you get EXPERT adivse, My doctor told me no to be on the safe side, acne will go away, and the baby's benefit is more important..

Pro-Activ is sold as an over-the-counter remedy, meaning that the amount of active ingredient that is within the remedy is not enough to warrant a prescription. Usually this means that there is not a substantial amount of the active ingredient, and if there then there would be warnings on the bottle that warns against using while pregnant. Were you breaking out before the pregnancy too?
alot of women find that pregnancy causes the break out's alot more than anything else.
I suggest you consult a doctor, and discontinue use untill you do.
Perhaps try drinking filtered water or bottled water? at least untill you know for sure.

"pro-active" is a topical cream that is used on the skin. It is safe to use during pregnancy, and should help with the calcium overload.

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and I've been using Pro-active almost since the beginning of my pregnancy.
I asked my doctor about it and she gave me green light.
she said it is OK to use benzoil peroxide and salicylic acid.
