Hey noob,
Druids can transform into animals once they reach lvl 10 for bear, lvl 20 for cat, lvl 30 for chetah, lvl 40 Dire bear. Tauren on horde and Night elf on allience are the only 2 races who can be druids.
The ppl u see with pets are either hunter or warlock.
Hunter has animal looking pets that can fight for you and warlock can summon demon pets to help them as well. All caracters in the game can have a decorative pet that follows them around and does nothing but looks good (and gives away ur position if u are stealthed)

they are night elfs and the class you want to be is a druid
