what are some things you do to make you feel more confident and self-assured on days when you're feeling kind of down?

Always look at all the things you have accomplished up to this point. Look at all you have learned, and remind yourself at how many people you have helped in life. Remind yourself of all you have going for you, like being an American, and having the freedom to read and write and think what you want.....even on bad days.
ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!
You can do anything with this attitude.

I'll either talk 2 my friends or talk 2 ne body that I no that can help me. Sometimes I can just hear everybody on my side...then there are those other times I feel all lonely & depressed and everyone is against me.!. I hate being depressed cuse then I tend 2 blow people off. Then feel even worse! Maybe u should either try some therapy or just letting go on some things! I try to think about how I got to where I am today. What made me want to be who I am today? Where I was 5 years ago and how much I grew from there.
This morning, I woke up feeling a little down..... then I realized a year ago ....today, I left my abuser of 4 years and never looked back. Being in a domestic violent relationship really opened my eyes..It made me appreciate life in a totally different way.... I cant believe how far I came from just a year ago.
Chin up sweety...... we all have our days.

something you can do physically is to make yourself look better. If i do my nails and paint my toenails I automatically feel better because i'm improving my appearance.
Working out is another obvious thing to do.
Or call a friend that you haven't talked to in a while, that works for me if I'm lonely.
but some days you just can't kick the funk you're in, so i say enjoy it. put on your pjs, watch some tv, and drink something warm.

Meeting small obtainable goals that you set for yourself will help. For example if you always put off dusting a long time set a goal to do it every Wed and when you do this for a month or so you'll feel better about yourself. Go back to school. Volunteer for people less fortunate than yourself.

I take a hot bath, shave my legs, give myself a facial, make an exquisite dinner for one and watch an empowering girlie movie while painting my toe nails...all this while wearing my sexiest underwear. :-)
