I don't think so. I think the waiter is paying you a form of social respect, small as it is. It is like a gentleman opening a door for a lady,stranger or not it is a small sign of respect for the opposite gender. It has nothing to do with the weaker sex myth, just a little bit of respect.That's all it is and I think that's all the waiter is doing.Nothing to do with the race myth. Accept it, the man is paying you a small respect.

Well, you aren't with the waiter/waitress every minute that they are at work every day, so therefore you cannot reasonably say that the waiter/waitress says "Hello" to EVERY White customer.
