I believe each of us has principles. I see principles as values of life. It is why you doing the things you do. Why do I access Yahoo!Answers? I see replying to questions as a good way to help others, for instance. Why do you go to college? Why do you not go to college? Why do you love your spouses? etc.

So, in sort, we do have principles. Everyone of us. It's just that how strong we are with our principles, and how willing we are to give ours for others.

To answer your question, I don't mind being tolerant to other's principles as long as they are not intersecting with mine.

Yes.

I've often heard a tolerant man lacks conviction.

No.....it's easier to be intolerant of the principles of other people if you have none of your own.....

Probably....since you don't have an opinion.

But, I think only the overzealous have no tolerance for others beliefs.
