She was kind-of blind to the fact that he really didn't care very much for her when she fell hard for him. It's almost sarcasm like she wishes she could be insensitive and just forget about him but she really can't and she's struggling with how someone could be this way.

I think she is talking about a lover who after their relationship ended doesn't seem to care. She would like to know how to be like that, to not want the other person, to not still care so much for them - how to be insensitive.
