I am on birth control, but also seizure medication which can possibly effect the effectivness of the birth control pill. I have been having otherwise unprotected sex. 2 weeks ago I was supposed to have my period, and i havnt had it yet. Its usually right on time. Iv taken 3 "First Respone" pregnancy tests, and all are negative. I dont think I have any symptoms, except maybe gaining a little weight, but that could just be from lack of excersise! Im not really sure wut to think! could i still be pregnant?

and yes I used a "first response" pregnancy test, its supposed to detect it 4 days before ur missed period, but I kno it isnt effective until a week after your missed period, and thats when i first took it. then twice after.

if your period is 2 weeks late a positive result on a pregnancy test SHOULD show up by now at least, have u tryed getting a more sensitive test like an early preg test that detects smaller levels of hgc in the urine but by the sounds of it i dont think ur pregnant just relax and ur period should come anytime, same thing happened to me once i was stressing coz i had unprotected sex and my period came 8 days late then i just forgot all about it and then what do you know my period came the next day...i also had several pregnancy tests and a blood test,oh btw if u go to ur doctor a positive result on a blood test will come up at this stage...the birth control should be doing its job if you are taking them regulary at the same time everyday.

The ONLY way you can be POSITIVE at this point is to go see a doc and get a blood test.
And if it turns out you're not, from there I'd get on my knees and thank GOD, then start throwing some condoms or spermicide into the mix. I'm not saying that to JUST to be a smartass but 1) it doesn't sound like you WANT to be pregnant and 2) you're on medication that could affect your baby. I've been down that road, and you when it comes to pregnancy, you WANT to plan it w/ your OB/GYN to make sure you and your baby are healthy as possible!

You could be pregnant.
The home pregnancy test reacts to a component called HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin in the blood or urine. They are usually right. For my wife it went wrong the first time. But the subsequent test showed positive reslut.
In your case, your medication might have interfered with the pregnancy results. But this is just my guess.
Please remember, in rare cases, HCG may be produced by a choriocarcinoma (Cancer of placenta) or or some other germ cell tumours. I am not trying to scare you.
So i would suggest you go to your GP to get your blood test done.
Wish you all the best.

YOU are more likely to have a false negative on a pregnancy test than a false positive. Being 2 weeks late might or might not be normal for you. You should see your doctor. Maybe you could use a backup method in the future.

It is very possible that you could be. I just found out i was pregnant after 9 days of no period but experienceing some cramping....If I were you I would go to the dr...their tests are more accurate and it will help you ease your mind.

U could be pregnant. I was on the patch and taking meds and also having unprotected sex. I didn't find out until a MONTH after my missed period that I was pregnant.

There is no way to be sure without seeing a doctor and getting a blood test.

This calls for a GP visit. My sister was about 5 months pregnant before even her doctor realised it. She had no symptoms - nothing. And there she was five months pregnant!
