I do not require a 'best answer' but I will offer a non judgmental honest answer. An ankle sprain typically occurs when the foot is turned inward as the ligament protecting the ankle in this direction is 'weak'. It is difficult to 'fake' swelling but if you are artistic you may be able to sketch in the discoloration of a bruise. Then turn your ankle inward saw OW pull down your sock say you are not able to stand or walk on it or walk with a limp and you have a sprained ankle. Good luck I guess but if you get caught do not ask me for a doctor's note.

Unfortunately I think you will have to come up with a different malady since the days of popping on an Ace bandage, limping around a little and the teacher buys it are long gone. Now doctors give notes for all sprained ankles, especially since they know there should be no gym for those that have this injury. You could try it and claim you left the note at home, but the teacher will probably hold you accountable for the note the next day. Your best bet is probably to just take the zero and call it a day. If you can't afford another zero, then go to the nurse's office during the period change and complain of feeling sick. Once she takes your temp and everything and cannot figure out what's wrong just ask to lay down a bit and maybe you'll feel better. Best symptoms are usually nausea, headache, tiredness. They are hard to figure causes for. After about 15 minutes or so, you can claim to feel good enough to go back to class. By this time, the class is so far gone that the teacher shouldn't ask you to change. If you have an anal teacher that will insist, then stay in the nurse's office until there are only 10 minutes left in class and then go back. No teacher could possibly insist you change with only 10 minutes left in class. Good Luck

Hop around and never put weight on it. Even when people aren't looking. Get a ace bandage and wear only a sock over it. With a real sprain you couldn't stand to wear a sneaker. It would hurt too much. Then put it up with ice on it and tell them you are taking advil which seems to have helped with the swelling.

Have your mom write a note for you saying that you twisted it getting out of the SUV yesterday. Put on a stretchy ACE bandage.

uh, what's the question? One could assume it's "how do i fake this injury", but then, one should never assume, as doing so... well, you probably know the old adage...
