The green tiger finish isn't painted on. The body is topped off with tiger maple (so named because of the look of tiger stripes in the wood) then it is sprayed with green toner...kind of like transparent green paint. Then it is coated with clear coats, and polished.

Just to give you an idea, the retail cost of the wood for the top alone can easily cost $200.00, up to as much as $350.00.... just for that piece!

I think you need an airbrush and a lot of artistic talent.

Look at the Molson beer site that is now showing how they decorate hockey goalie masks and see the effort required - it is equivalent to what you would need to do with the guitar.
