No. The qualities I like are helpful and courteous. And I think the job title changed to "flight attendant" about 20 years ago.

Well if a flight attendent is not all that good looking and have a friendly attitude and are good in character then I think nobody would care.But yes a good looking flight attendent does make travel more calm and if not awkward when they talk to you.But no matter what an air hostess must have make up on and lots of training.I mean they have to shower and everything before they can do their job.I still wonder if in an air hostess interview they
judge you by looks but they secretly might do just that.
People PEOPLE we were ruled by Britian (India) and follow British speech so we call them Air Hostess because its what the British taught us.

I don't think looks count when hiring a person but they will definitely help.
I too, have seen some pretty ugly ones. I don't think you have to be pretty to be an air hostess.

I believe the airlines used to discriminate in favor of hiring attractive female airline hostesses (they used to call them stewardesses). Legally, they aren't suppose to have hiring practices like this anymore, however, I'm sure some of it still goes on.

If you're referring to an airline attendant, I don't know why prettiness would matter. I would much prefer a nice, friendly person who loved their job, over someone based on looks.

I only like the hot ones. There are plenty of factory jobs available for uglies. Leave the nice jobs for the good lookers.

It wouldn't hurt.
You don't have to have supermodel looks, but you should look like you care about your appearance. And you definitely cannot be above a certain weight.
