I generally wait until the three days has run out, unless there were VERY few answers. Even though I'm generally not an asker, I just thought I'd put in my two cents. I've only asked 6 questions the entire time I've been in Y!A

Not sure I can still be considered an asker. But with your permission, I'd like to throw my 2. I usually left mine open for about 24 hours, mainly on request from certain followers.

After a few hours (5- 8) depending on how badly I want to give the best answer... Sometimes, I just don't want to deal with reading all of the answers and choosing the best, so I put it off for a day or two... other times, I foget and the community votes!

I'm totally random, anywhere from 1 to 4 days, sometimes I extend them if they get enough answers and every now and then when I have too many opens and I am lazy they slip into voting for which I appoligize, so what's it to ya anyways heheh, I'm not much of an asker anyways...

Since I've started asking, I'll usually close within 24 - 48 hours. No one is likely to search out the question after that & it seems to be working so far. Gives plenty of time but not too much as far as I can tell. ♥

If it's a question that gives me an immediate response then I close it after 4 hrs.If its a question where there is no right or wrong answer,any where from 10 to 24 hrs.

The first answer I like. But you have to wait I think 4 hours. I can have best answer before that usually.
