White or colored Christmas lights?

White look more classy, but colored are so much more fun to look at. Which should I choose?

If I could do a tree up any way I choose, I would pick a white tree with blue or purple lights. Maybe a few satin bows or maybe not. A white cross on top or even an angel dressed in blue or purple to match the lights. Single colored lights can look very nice and classy too.

I love white lights. Just more polished and adult looking. Colored light are fun and have a childish quality. I use white lights and have them up long before Christmas and well after. I dont know that I would do the same with colored lights.

I like white lights for the outside of the house,and blue ones for the tree.

I like white better just because it is classy and simple. My husband on the other hand loves the color so we have color on the outside but white on our tree. :)

I'll go with colored besides white lights are more amber colored like most regular light bulbs.

I prefer the monochromatic look, and this year did the house all in blue lights. I used 3 different kinds of bulbs to get three different shades of blue, and they all blended superbly. Looks so nice from the street. ( I did do 1 tree in red and green lights to provide an interesting counterpoint.)
So, to answer your question, I would have to say white, but explore other monochromatic options.

i think it would depend.... you would not want to put white lights on a white tree.... all of my ornaments are some sort of white snowflake so i have colored light... white lights would not go well with white ornaments.... so just think about the decor... but i would go color cause i love the color lights....
