Hi,

In about a week I'll be going to the US and was thinking of upgrading my old Game Boy Colour system to a newer model. Since the NDS and the PSP are way out of my price range (want to buy the new console and 2 games for under $130), I have both the SP and Micro to choose from.

I like the SP better since it has a larger screen and is backward compatible with my GBC games. I also like the fact that it can close to protect the screen. One more question: How do I tell the old frontlit SP and the new backlit SP apart when I go online and buy it?

But the Micro's size is tempting! I've also heard that it's screen is brighter than the SP's, please confirm if this is true. Plus, it costs $10 less in Amazon.

Another question is about games. I was thinking I'd get KH Chain of Memories and a Pokémon title, either FR/LG or Emerald. Which do you recommend? Or do you suggest another?

Thanks in advance!

SP is in fact Better, Micro was a money grab. SP's screens are brighter and they do not scratch thanks to the folding feature.

In terms of games I do second your Pokémon theory (Emerald is the best). And i suggest Mario Kart GBA, Super addicting.

i suggest micro stand out frm the group every1 has had sp already and if ur not going to go all the way 2 the top (psp-like i have or ds) at least get half way there with the micro.... its cheaper and yes its brighter little cousin owns 2 (don't ask me why) and for pokemon i suggest fr if u like the classic pokemon games bc thats all it is but if u follow pokemon still and you know all the new creatures get emereld

The exhibit on the micro is small, regardless of the undeniable fact that it is not complicated to work out something on it. the 2d variety of the SP, with the brighter exhibit, could be extra effective, and nevertheless effective properties link features.

I would say the Gameboy Advance SP.

It's MUCH more brighter, and has better sound and quality.

The Micro....isn't really good to tell you the truth.
