I am a sophmore in high school. I run a 4.8 40 yard dash. what is the absolute maximum that a wr/db can run and still get into a college for football. Do i have a chance and what workouts can i do to improve my times.

Any ither wr/db drills sould be great.

You better be huge if you expect to make it on 4.8. You need to cut that a lot to be a DB/WR. Fortunately you are young enough to build speed and will add size in the next few years. Start by developing your leg and mid body strength. Squats and olympic lifts are the most effective. Also work a speed building regimine. There are classes and camps that focus on this if you can afford them. Other wise get online and find one. It should definately include sprints and jumps. Otherwise take care of your body, and play lots of ball. Good luck.

right now running a 4.8 couldnt get you into a D-III school. You need to get that time down to 4.5 and get stronger.

nope, never played football with pads. Didn't need to hit anybody and certainly didn't need to get hit by asshole teammates who didn't like me.
