Perhaps there is something stuck in the fan; it could really be that simple. The best thing to do would be to take your laptop to a professional or send it to technical support if you are not qualified to open the unit. You will also break any warranty or guarantee you have for the unit. My advice would be to do this as soon as possible. The fan may be wearing out and in danger of overheating.

Most likely the screws holding the fan cover fell out and are rattling in the fan. Also, is the screen covering the fan dented? if so, straighten it out. Chances are denting the screen stripped the screws out of the case.

you will need to replace it.
Usually gives you this sound when the fan is about to fail.
You don't want that to happen on a laptop, the system will overheat and you will be one laptop short of a computer.

toshiba is not a very good brand...it has very cheap parts..the fan is wearing out...and your memeory is overloading
