Superman's (Kal-El's) birth parents are Jor-El and Lara Lar-Von.
El is both a last name and a suffix for a first name. Jor-El is Superman's birth father's name (NOT just "Jor").
As a side note during a 1939 story his mother's name was spelled as "Lora" and his father's was spelled as "Jor-L". It was later established that these were the parent's of Earth Two's Superman. (This has to do with DC's Multi-verse but technically Jor-L and Lora also answer your question)

It really depends on who was writing at the time. Originally they were Jor El and Lara El, however when John Byrne rebooted the series in the 80's he was born in a birthing matrix upon landing on earth, which would technincally make John and Martha Kent his "birth" parents.

(buzzer) EHHHHH.....wrong answers, all 4... and don't trust Wikipedia, it's not a reliable source of ANY information....
Superman's (Clark Kent, a.k.a. Kal-El) birth parents were named Jor and Lara (at least the others got that much right) but their proper names were :
Jor and Lara of the House of El....hence the Jor-El, Kal-El, etc....
while Kal's mother became Lara-El, as her maiden name was Lara, of the house of Lor-Van.

I don't know who his mother was, but she must have gotten knocked up by chuck norris.
No one else could have produced such a strong baby with such extraordinary super powers like chuck has.
He chose poorly because it must have been her that gave him the kryptonite weakness.
superman's planet really exploded because chuck norris roundhouse kicked her into it because of her trashy genes.
