Stupid issues with my best friend :( (he's a guy by the way). I like him which sucks for me 'cuz we've been best friends for around 5 years now (which means I've known him since he was 9). Problem is, he is completely spilt personalitized. He can honestly be the most insensitive jerk in the world one day, and a sweetie the next. When hes insensitive i absolutely hate him. But, when he's nice, i can't NOT like him. It's a horrible thing. Also another problem is that I know he doesn't like me. I KNOW guys look at girls in a different manner then girls look at guys. So what I basically need help in is how I'm going to get over him :( the usage of "there are plenty of other guys out there" isn't going to work cuz our school has he ugliest bunch of guys i've ever seen (no offence :()

You are both fourteen, dont stress, boys are often insensitive jerks, when he is in one of those moods just be elsewhere, take him as you find him, and if you cant then dont remain friends. Funny my daughter had a guy friend right up til she was 13 then they couldn"t stand each other for about 5 years (he was being a typical adolescent boy and she was being a bitchy teenage girl ) Anyway once they grew up and played the field a bit, they got back together as girl/boyfriend and now they are married 3 years with a baby boy. Dont be in such a rush, just enjoy your life.

Take your time with getting with guys. He may not look at you as girlfriend material, so don't get upset over that. But since you've known him for a long time, when he is in a nice mood, then have a talk to him about when he is not acting nice. This just may change him. Either way, just be yourself, and take things one day at a time. If it's meant to be, it'll happen. And that cliche' is true, there is more fish in the sea, not necessarily in your school, but there is a big world out there. You just may meet your "prince' one day and it just may be love at first sight with both of you. Don't settle for second best. Best of luck to you.
