now most of you know that the American Car companies are headed toward bankruptcy.

Ford Motor compnany alone spent 15% of their income on health benifits for their employees, thats about $5 trilllion.

What do you think America or The American Government should do to keep the American car Companies alive?

Also in canada the government PAYS for companies health benifits. would you pay higher taxes for the government to pay for health insurance? and maybe help our economy?

the car companies are too big and are no longer flexible. if they were to scale back they would become more maneuverable and more competitive. Also the unions have become too powerful and have gotten to much money for the workers.

Create a national health system like Canada and most other parts of the world.

This would help ALL American companies.

Otherwise they already get enough tax breaks and stuff. After all they charge for a car I don't even understand how they could be bankrupt.

Lower the gas prices so that people who want SUV's will buy them instead of opting for smaller cars with better gas mileage.

Initiate a higher import tax for imported cars.

Maybe give consumer's amnesty on the taxes of a newly purchased vehicle?!

they should make there cars as good as imports.
