Stop, breathe, and stop focusing on the fact that it is stressful. Just take it one exam at a time and do your best.

I can totally relate to your question! I am one week away from my senior finals to get my degree.

What helps me is to make sure i get plenty of sleep (8-9 hours for me) the night before any exam. make sure you have breakfast too. If you treat your body/brain right it will treat you right (at least better). As far as stress, well, there can be different types. if your worried about doing bad on the exams, try getting together with someone in the class or someone you know could do well on the exam and do some group studying. I find that being able to talk to others about those "finals" they often have the same issues and questions as you might.

when it comes to the testing. If its multiple choice, take your time and always read through all answers and eliminate any that you know are incorrect.

Good luck!

REEL TALK!! I feel you cause I'm in the same situation. Just stop trying to stress yo brain. Pray before every test then when you get home take a long warm bath with candles and bubble bath. This relieves any stress that you might have gone thru. Take it easy. Get plenty rest, that's a must. My advisor told me that the more I stress over something then my brain won't remember what I studied but all the other things that occur during stress. Your brain Can only record certain things. Next semester do what me and my roommate do, we read our work that we learned every day until exams, this way your brain will know it so good and you won't be stressed. I hope this helps you out. Just know you're not alone!!!!!

Good luck! I'm in the same boat.

Eat healthy - limit fat and sugar
Get exercise
Take study breaks
Schedule something fun to look forward to
Break the studying into small chunks
Calm down with a deep breath before the exam
Never ever second guess your answer on an exam, usually the first answer is correct

Don't know if this will work for you but when i was in art school and stressed with all my complicated, kinetic installations and the stupid paperwork on art histories-exploding on my punching bag,i do Kung-fu/Kickboxing..(mentally said in Keanu Reeves/Matrix lame impression) Plus yoga helps too.

But the best one-especially if you want an intense Oriental discipline/exercise?

Lock your door.Put on some dance music, jump on the bed and DANCE LIKE CRAZY!(don't forget to close your blinds or you'll end up in You Tube!)

I'm TOTALLY SERIOUS! Try IT ONCE! Dance till you drop, till yer sweatin like a pig or whatever! The body releases some hormones in your body giivn this sense o'euphoria-a very NATURAL STRESS-RELIEVING HIGH.!!!

Then cool down, take a quick shower, have a moment of silence or 2(take a short walk by yerself..DONT GO SHOPPIN or CLUBBING GURL,u need the "Zen" part here!)or do a short meditation(yoga,tai-chi or Qi-Gong)-and VIOLA-yer ready to kick some serious studyin A** again!

Just make sure you don't cram for the exams because you won't remember the answers. When you get frustrated and tired, go take a walk and think about something else. Good luck.

Take vitamins, drink plenty of water, be sure to get some physical activity and enough sleep. Hopefully you've been keeping up on your studies and are not doing it all right now.

While actually taking exams, stay relaxed and be sure you've eaten something nutritious.

Get a lot of sleep and study a little bit at a time becasuse you take in information better. Also eat a good breakfast, and being confident about the tests always help me too.

i know it can't be helped but you gotta remember-the brain is also like a muscle,it can only take so much.Take regular short breaks,a lil' quiet time,a walk,do something different but not stressful, waalk in the backyard, garden, sketch, doodle, nice relaxing music,wine,cheeese-NOPE wait-that's for somthin' else-ha..ha!

Best way that works for me is I go to bed as early as possible, then wake up as early as possible when the world is still asleep, that's when the MIND is like a SPONGE!Cramming overnight tires the brain so much that when you get up(usually feelin u didn't sleep at all!)most of what u stuffed in yer brain are GONE!

RESCUE REMEDY at your local health food store. You can get it in drops to put under your tongue or a spray to just mist in the air. It is a flower essence and I have talked to person after person who swears by it. It is supposed to de-stress you and let your mind focus. Great for when you can't sleep and have a million and one things running through your head over and over. Calms wild kids to if you just spray it in the room where they are playing.
