my guy friend knows that i like him and we havent hugged in awhile should i hug him or what?

If he hasn't confronted you about it, he may be feeling weird. But that doesn't mean you can't hug him! He's your friend! Just let him know that you're not trying to hit on him or get close to him because you're trying to hug him. (Guys can be weird like that) but first and foremost, you think of him a friend, and if nothing happens, you should still be friends. So hug away! =D

I don't get it, why is it when a guy and a girl becomes really good friends they have this no dating, flirting, kissing, or hugging rule? That type of friend makes for the best of relationships. Last time I heard your mate is suppose to be your bestfriend. I say go for it, and don't look back. Have fun!

Don't hug him quite yet. Talk to him first. He may like you and not know how to react. Otherwise he maynot like you and feel that you can't have a friendship because you might try getting with him.
