I mean, as a culture, not the specific legal process? How did Australia do it? New Zealand? Italy? was it always legal in those places? if not, was their some cultural movement that occurred in favor of legalizing it? or just some side-note sort of vote on a bill that wasn't exactly a top priority? How can we go about making people in the U.S. comfortable enough with prostitution in order to have enough support for legalization?

All in all, i think of it is the main secure, maximum life like answer. Making prostitution unlawful is like prohibition interior the 20's - persons are going to do it besides, so it may as nicely be risk-free and much less crime-ridden. From a women's rights viewpoint, they are going to be secure by predatory men and pimps, and can insist on utilising condoms, understanding that different women all will, too.

Why would you want to do that? German courts are in the process of determining if an unemployed woman gets offered a job in the "sex worker" industry, and she turns it down, is she still eligible for Social Benefits?

If it's a legal job, and your daughter who happens to be between jobs, gets offered a job as a ho in a cat-house, do you want the government cutting off her unemployment?

why would you feel the need to legalize it? its like legalizing marijuana....even if its not legal, people will still do it.

why would we as a society waste good time and money legalizing prostitution when there are so many other, way better, things we could be doing?

if you need to get laid that badly, go to a local club. there are enough people willing to give it up for free. dont need a prostitute.
