I'm just curious to know, I would bet it's over 50 percent, if not well over 50.
Seems like at least 3 out of 4 people I see now days are overweight, EVEN KIDS!
THIS IS A STATE OF EMERGENCY!

I think I read somewhere that it is 30 some percent. It seems like it should be a lot more than that. I know that most of the people in my family are overweight. Overweight and obese are different though. Obese is extremely overweight. I am lucky to be on of those people who is the right weight for my height but many people aren't. It causes many health problems. One of the main health problems from being overweight is diabetes and that is a horrible thing to live with. We do need some help with this.

I agree..Obesity has become an epidemic...and it is a shame that obesity is not seen as a disease, which it is...People would rather help the drug addicts, or the anorexics, or bulimics, what about the obese, they are just frowned upon and I find it very sad.
