ok so, color may be the most obvious difference but take for example caucasians and "african" americans. Different speaking, different personalities, different music, and that's only the beginning. Take a black person and give him white skin, his hair, facial features, bone structure and more would make him look very funny. Why do people insist on claiming that we're all the same, when really, we are not at all. I can understand this claim, in the sense that it helps people cope with equality, but why can't we love our differences as a whole, like many people do? why are most races pressured to be proud of themselves, but if i am proud of my heritage, all the sudden i'm a white nationalist, a nazi, and a racist? just for asking this question i'm borderline racist in some peoples eyes and the entire question is edgy.

Well I think saying you have "black pride" is just as bad as saying "white pride", you should specifically say what your heritage is if you want to be proud of it. Like Norwegian pride or Rwandan pride or something, so it's not just pride in your race, because that always sounds bad. There is alot of variation in the facial structure of causcasian people, so I don't know about that argument. People gripe about equality because people deserve to be judged based on their individual actions rather than their skin color (or facial features) since they have no control over that...

I think it is a very good question, and I agree with you. I believe that every one should have equal rights, but I don't think we are the same. I think the people who say that don't understand that equal and same are two different things in this context. Yes, we are equal, but none of us are ever the same no matter how similar we are. I feel that we a people should embrace the differences in ourselves and the people around us. I also feel everyone has the right to be proud of there heritage without hard feelings from people of other heritages. For example, I'm proud to be a Southern girl, and while I don't display the Confederate flag, if I did people would think I was racist. Sadly, thats not even what the confederacy stood for. People don't know that because they do not have open minds to actually learn the truth, and only believe what they wish to believe. In short, to answer your question I think people who say things like that to it out of confusion, ignorance, and close mindedness.
