i'm 36 weeks pregnant, and i'm having contractions, and what feels like the baby balling up. The contractions are starting in the upper part of my abdomen and moving down as they go on. I haven't started counting them, bc they dont feel like they're regular, but they definitely hurt, and feel like they're getting stronger.
the baby seems to be balling up. it seems like when i have a contraction, she moves more, and it feels like shes curling into a ball. i dont know if its contractions that can make it feel that way, or if she really is doing it.
what does it mean when you're baby balls up at 36 weeks?
i've read that labor can accompanied by diarrhea and nasuea, and i was sick all day yesterday. i figured i just had a stomach bug, but then last night, i started having contractions. i'm not getting sick any more, but i still feel nauseous.
i dont have any bloody show, and my water hasnt broke, but could this be early labor??

Could be it! I just had my baby 7 weeks ago and I had the same thing: upset stomach and cramping. The cramps should feel like strong menstrual cramps that get worse every time. Don't worry about the bloody show or your water breaking - only few women get them. My water never broke. Good luck and get ready for sleepless nights. It's all worth it though!

You are in early labor. When you are in actual labor you will defiantly know it!! The contractions will become very painful and close together. You will have to breath through them, which means the contraction is taking your breath away. You still have four weeks to go so don't worry about going into active labor anytime soon. If you are worried about anything or think you are in active labor then you should go the hospital. That is what they are there for. They would rather check you ten times and find everything is alright then let it go that one time and something be wrong.

Early labor can actually last weeks!! Once the baby is in position (the Dr. will tell you she has dropped and turned) she won't move anymore. Her head will be all the way down, and her legs upright (think of a handstand) so that she is ready to come out. Just rest up, try walking around when the contractions come- don't stress about "is this it" trust me, you will know when you can't take them anymore and have to go in!
Just a little while longer!!

It for sure is pre term labor I have been going through it since Saturday I also thought my baby was balling up and didn't know for two whole days what was going on with me and my baby and I called my Ob on Monday and they said it is contraction and because it had been almost a week since my last appointment I may have dilated more and they asked me to come to have my cervix checked and my contraction monitor you are a week early I would let them maternity ward know what is happening with you as it is safe after 37 weeks to have a baby that is considered full term. Even if your contraction are all over the place call them anyways. take care best wishes.

Yes this could be labor. If they get to be regular, every 5 minutes call your OB. For most women their water breaks in the hospital, and not everyone has a bloody show.

Could be.

If you were sick yesterday you may be dehydrated. Dehydration is a leading cause of early labor. I have heard that it is good to drink a LOT of water. If it is dehydration the contractions should stop. If it is true labor, the contractions will not stop.
