It hasn't gone out! It's just started smelling strongly today!

Does it have a flue that vents to outside? If so, is it blocked or obstructed? Has anything changed recently, such as something stored near to the Rayburn?

Just things to consider, love, I'm no expert.

I stink the house out with fumes from time to time, but that's just because of my love of curry.

get it serviced very soon, check the flame adjust the airflow so the flame is blue, check the chimney, nozzle may be blocked, is it noisy, may be miss firing like a cAR DOES , IT HAS A SPARK PLUG JUST LIKE A CAR BUT MORE COMPLEX sos touched caps lock. sparker needs adjusting annually and the HT leads may be arcing to the frame, is black smoke comming from the chimney ? important...the fumes are potentially lethal, ring the factory in sheffield, they will come and fix it quick if you tell them you have a small baby.
