I think it is when it reacts with the air once it dries. I know that if I have had a hard day (renovating a house at the mo) I can sweat and not smell straight away, but if I don't wash until the next morning there is definately an aroma!! Not that I leave it that long!!I also think it depends on the person and of course what you eat! I could be wrong but I'm just not a smelly person.

Well it starts to smell when it begins the decompose which is almost immediatly. Some people with an acute sense of smell will obviously pick it up sooner than someone who doesn't. The decomposition also relies on the conditions of the body (so, if you keep your armpit closed, making it all warm and moist, the bacteria will breed and decomposition will occur at a great rate - if you're out running in the freezing cold, the bacteria will have a harder time reproducing and so the smell won't 'kick in' til later).

I think it takes about 15 minutes after if dries. You could test it out, have a friend tell you when you start to smell... lol
