to answer your question -- yes I can
Be honest -- your assignment is to learn these vocabulary words and then demonstrate you understand them by using them in sentences, right? How are you going to learn to do that if someone else does it for you? What do you mean that definitions "don't really work" for you?? Perhaps you're using the wrong kind of dictionary? Maybe you need something a bit clearer? While I agree that it's easiest to understand words in context, the point of an assignment like this is for YOU to demonstrate you understand the words by being able to use them in sentences. Surely your teacher didn't say "get someone else to write sentences for you"
So, I will show you how to do one... how to take a word and its definition and turn it into a sentence. Let's look at VIVACIOUS... It is an adjective that is used to describe someone who is particularly lively and full of good spirit. Don't you know anybody like that? I'm sure you can think of someone...perhaps at a party or a school dance who is always lively? Now write a sentence about that person and describe her as vivacious.

RE:
Can you use these words in a sentence?
Vivacious, propaganda, elaborated, expounded, apathy, dishearted, unalterable, adapted, reproached.
I don't know what those words mean, and deifinitions don't really work for me. I understand words more when they're used in sentences.
