I am 36 weeks pregnant and cannot seem to get enough to drink.. I drink at least 2-3 liters of water a day. Does this sound right? Should I still have a dry mouth? I also crave ice. I could sit and eat ice all the time. Anyone else with the same feelings?

40 weeks and four days pregnant and I drink about the same amount of water among other fluids also and I constantly eat ice..it is normal but ask the ob to be sure. your body most likely is retaining the water for delivery. good luck you are so close to seeing your baby also.

1) Salt your food to taste, limiting salt is very dangerous during pregnancy.

2) Craving ice is a sign of anemia. Consider taking some floradix (as it is natural and easier to absorb) or getting some blood work done.

3) I drank more than 3L a day during the end of my pregnancy. Try to drink more in the morning and throughout the day.

You may be slightly anemic, especially this late in the pregnancy. Many times craving ice chips is a sign of iron deficiency. At least that is what my doctor told me and I was anemic during my last trimester.
