me an all my friends dont have a dad, why do they go away?

In some cases they are just too young and scared. In others, it's a blessing as the dad wasn't a good person to begin with. Some mothers make it their duty to keep the father away for whatever reason. Some dad's are just plain assholes. Sometimes there are circumstances beyond anyone's control and he had to leave.

So us fatherless children live our lives as a statistic, thanks Pops. All you can do is be thankful that you have your mother. Statistically, girls who grow up without a father tend to have sex at a young age and have many many partners because they search for the love and guidance they didn't recieve from their father's in any man who is willing to give that to them for any amount of time.

I urge you and all your young friends to beware of this. It is a heartbreaking experience to live your life this way, trust me. Don't let one's mistake ruin your life.

My husband divorced his first wife and he got custody of his daughter. Her mom never calls, writes or sends gifts for holidays, although she has 2 other kids (both by different dads) and would get mad at him when he didn't treat the other 2 the same as his daughter. He helped his ex raise the other 2 for awhile. He even paid child support on one of them until she turned 18 this last June even though he was not her dad, his ex had an affair while he was working out of town. Judge said that since he had been helping take care of the kid before the divorce and since the mom only made minimum wage he should continue to support the child. I think the reason his ex left their daughter behind was because she is special needs and the other 2 weren't and she just didn't want the hassle of dealing with her and all of her problems. His daughter is almost 21 and he is a stay at home dad and takes care of her 24/7. He is an awesome dad and his ex missed out on an awesome opportunity to raise an amazing person.

Dad's do not always leave their kids. They sometimes leave the family situation but remain in contact with their children. Sometimes things become just too much between a mother and a father and it is in the best interest for all involved to break up the family unit. But a lot of the times the parents can remain very friendly with each other and the fate of the kids is their top priority and so both parents continue to remain active in raising the kids. But other times fathers cannot deal with the lose and so they become confused and stay out of contact with their kids not realizing how much they are missed. I hope that you and your friends do have contact with your fathers yet and that you all are aware that it is none of your fault that your dad had to leave the family.

as a dad i all ways tried to be a part of my kids life . but in the end the xwife did not want me around and to get on with my own life i had to leave. i still love them very much, but i just can not see them

No most men that leave their families were not me to be husbands or fathers,so don't blame yourself honey,they probably just couldn't cut it.My father left when i was 12 years old. He had a good job,but started drinking heavy,after he made 10 kids.Guess he got in over his head lol.My brothers and sisters and me grow up on welfare.Wasn't too nice.I wish him and my mother grew up before they made 10 kids lol.The kids are the losers,we all need both a father and a mother that love us.
